The Faculty of Arts at Charles Sturt University organises a workshop on the topic of democratic citizenship. The event will bring together academics from Australia and from overseas, whose work focuses broadly on the meaning and nature of democracy. The conference will comprise seven sessions, over two days: each session will have a speaker and a respondent.
Papers will cover topics such as political obligation, ethics of voting, just war theory, freedom of speech, human rights.
